Inmates may release personal property to family members or other designated parties. The inmate must fill out an Inmate Property Release Authorization Form that indicates the property they wish to release and the person who will be picking the property up. This form must be signed by both the inmate and the party receiving the property.
To pick up property being released by an inmate to you please call ahead before coming to the facility so that jail staff may assist you in the most efficient way possible.
You are REQUIRED to bring picture identification. If picture identification is not produced the property will not be released.
PLEASE NOTE! There is a $5.00 fee associated with opening and resealing inmate property. This fee may be paid by either the inmate or the party picking up the released property.
The Detention Center will hold property for thirty (30) days after the person has been released or transported to another facility. Due to limited storage space we cannot hold the property any longer than that amount of time. After thirty days ANY and ALL property not picked up will be destroyed.
It is the inmate’s responsibility to make arrangements for the property to be picked up.
